Laser Dentistry FAQs
If your question is not here, call us on +91 98402 03173 and we will answer it.
Is laser dental treatment safe?
Dental lasers are an established tool used routinely in gum treatment. Protective eyewear is worn and the laser is set for the specific tissue being treated.
Does it hurt?
Many laser procedures need less anaesthetic than the conventional equivalent, and some need none. We will tell you what to expect for your particular treatment.
Will I need stitches?
Often not. Lasers tend to seal tissue as they work, which is one of the reasons bleeding is usually reduced.
How long does recovery take?
It depends on the procedure and the area treated. Many people find recovery more comfortable than after conventional gum surgery, but we will give you a realistic picture beforehand.
What can dental lasers be used for?
A range of soft-tissue procedures, particularly gum treatment and reshaping. We will explain whether it applies to your case at the assessment.
Is laser treatment suitable for children?
In some situations, yes. Suitability depends on the child, the procedure and how comfortable they are, which we assess individually.
